After couple of video teasers, Motorola India has confirmed the it will launch the Moto E5 Plus from the Moto E series in July. The announcement was made via a teaser on the company’s social media channels (twitter). Company has confirmed the launch of the bigger variant, we also expecting that the Moto E5 Plus, the Moto E5 will also launched along with it. In a retail store of Delhi a poster of the Moto E5 was spotted, that shouting loud – “Moto E5 will have a massive 4000mAh battery”.
Earlier version of Moto E5 Plus, the Moto E5 was launched by Motorola globally at an event in April. It is available on Amazon India website at Rs 11,990, over which there is a discount of 10% making its selling price Rs 10,770. In term of specification, the device will have a 6-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) Max Vision IPS LCD display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. It also features a water-repellent design.
In Brazil, the phone was launched in two colour variants — Gold and Graphite, so will company launch the Moto E5 Plus in the same colour options ? We have to wait for the answer.
The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC and runs on Android Oreo 8.0 out of box. Moto E5 Plus will come up with a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. Company might launch the Moto E5 Plus with other storage and RAM options. Moto E5 Plus is packed with a massive 5,000 mAh battery which evidently makes the phone heavy at 196 grams. It support for 15W TurboPower charging that claims to offer 6 hours of usage in 15 minutes of charging. In terms of optics, the Moto E5 Plus carries a 12-megapixel primary camera with f2.0, 1.25um big pixels, LED flash, PDAF, and laser autofocus. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera with f2.2, 1.12um and selfie flash/light.
If we talk about connectivity the device offers 3.5mm headphone jack, fingerprint sensor, Moto Actions (gesture-based shortcuts), Bluetooth 4.2 and 4G LTE.
Moto E5 Plus was launched at a price of EUR 169 or around Rs. 13,500. If we look at specification the device is offering, there is no doubt that Moto E5 Plus is a budget oriented smartphone. Motorola’s budget E-series in India is soon going to have an addition to its lineup on 10 July in the form of the Moto E5 Plus . The smartphone will be sold exclusively on Amazon and should be priced somewhere in the range of Rs 9,000 – Rs 10,000.
