No doubt Microsoft is a bigger player and one of most valuable companies in word. Past in history Microsoft has shown many great innovations and in today’s day they are banging the PC market with there classic Surface Laptops, with whom this days I’m in love. But apart from my affair, there some big fields where Microsoft fails to make it presence even having great power.
Smartphone is one of those field. I’ll not say Microsoft doesn’t do hard work or there technology was of poor quality but the thing which make them fail was the launch time of there products. After 2007 iPhone launch, iOS was all over the market and even Android was growing with lighting speed.
But after leaning from all there mistakes company is backing itself. Microsoft will soon launch there Surface Smartphone. From fresh information the company may introduce a line of phones before it launches the elusive Surface Phone. The mysterious phone belongs to a new line of Microsoft phones running on Android OS. The smartphone is supposed to be Microsoft-branded and is aimed for an early 2019 release.
Last year company shut down the Lumia line brand. On question when Lumia phones will be back in stock, a Microsoft Store representative has claimed that the Windows Phone engineers are currently focusing on building phones powered by Android. According to a report from WindowsLatest a Microsoft representative’s chat has revealed which also claims that the company is planning to launch phones running on Android OS.
There is no conformation from Microsoft, whether they launch an Android powered devise or not. The last smartphone launched by company was the Lumia 650 run on Window OS. However company is actively developing apps like Microsoft Launcher, Edge browser, OneDrive, Skype, Office apps and more for Android and iOS smartphones to keep their footprint in the segment.
If Microsoft is actually working on an Android smartphone, it will certainly come with Microsoft’s app and services. Microsoft’s Android smartphone can be ruled out. Currently company is busy with three Surface projects the Surface Go, Carmel –Surface Pro 6 and Andromeda.
Do you think Microsoft will produce an Android-powered smartphone? Let me know in comment box.
