Blackberry launched there two new smartphone BlackBerry Evolve X and Evolve in India on Thursday. Both these BlackBerry-branded phones are being launched in India first before any other market. Evolve X and Evolve are two smartphone offering the ecosystem of Android and security trusted security of BlackBerry.
Optiemus Infracom, the home grown brand has the right for manufacturing and selling BlackBerry-branded phones in markets of India. BlackBerry Evolve X and Evolve are made in India smartphones. The phones have been designed and manufactured at Optiemus’ Noida facility.
If we talk about it’s specification, then both the BlackBerry Evolve X and Evolve features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) FullView LTPS IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and max brightness of 500 nits. The display is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Evolve X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with an Adreno 512 GPU and with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage which is also expandable. Whereas the Evolve is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor paired with an Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is also expandable. Both phones runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. There is a 4,000mAh battery under the hood, in both smartphone.
We all know that BlackBerry are mostly know for it’s security. With Evolve X and Evolve BlackBerry offers incorporated enterprise-grade security and privacy, with its device security implementation, using additional measures from the kernel level all the way up to the application layer of the devices, including support for DTEK by BlackBerry application. Additionally, the Evolve and EvolveX come with features like facial recognition, encrypted with secure technology and a fast fingerprint unlock functionality.
Both the devices come loaded with BlackBerry Hub – a messaging inbox which combines emails, texts and messages from social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, BBM, WhatsApp, Instagram and other services.
In term of optics Evolve X sports a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture, 1.4-micron pixels) and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.6 aperture, 1.0-micron pixels) with a 6P lens and dual tone LED flash. On the other hand Evolve has a dual rear camera setup with two 13-megapixel sensors that come with f/2.0 aperture, RGB+Mono mode, and dual tone LED flash. Both phones share camera features including refocus mode, 4X autofocus, and slow motion video.Both of them bear a 16-megapixel fixed focus sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 78-degree FoV, Tetra Pixel technology, real-time bokeh mode, and LED flash.
BlackBerry Evolve and BlackBerry Evolve X, will be available for sale by August-end, and mid-September, respectively. Evolve, priced at Rs 24,990, also has a face unlock feature. The BlackBerry Evolve X comes with a Rs 34,990 tag.
