Facebook right now testing paid monthly subscriptions for some Groups

Many of us using Facebook by couple of year and that for free but soon it’s going to change. The Social Networking Giant is planing to charge a monthly subscription from the users for accessing the Facebook group. You might now have to pay few dollors to get access to certain videos or content on Facebook.

On Wednesday 20, Company has announced a pilot program for Groups, a tools that allow group administrators to create an additional private paid group that receives exclusive content. There will no changes in free groups, but if admin want’s then he can launch a premium sub-groups and take monthly subscription fee. Currently few can access to this new feature but soon it will get firmly setup if all goes good for Facebook.

Now then members will have to pay a monthly subscription fee for becoming a part of a private groups and to access the exclusive content, including videos, tutorials and advice. This fees will range from $4.99 to $29.99.”We know that admins invest their time and energy to maintain their groups, and some have told us that they would like tools to help them continue to invest in their community and offer more to members, Alex Deve, Facebook’s product director of Groups

Alex Deve says that right now they are starting this feature with a very small groups. He said Declutter My Home” and “Grown and Flown Parents” are the groups whom with they are starting; for subscription fee they will charge about $14.99 for “Declutter My Home” group and around $29.99 a month for “Grown and Flown Parents”.

He said the decision came from listening to feedback from Group administrators on Facebook, who wanted a way to pour money back into their Groups. Administrators will be able to track and collect subscriptions through Facebook. The company said it won’t take any cut of the subscriptions. If Facebook do so then the feature bills through iOS and Android, those operating systems get their 30 percent cut of a user’s first year of subscription and 15 percent after that. Facebook start taking it’s share when the Groups feature grown to more than 1 billion users. Facebook also testing many features which they haven’t reveal yet. The group subscription isn’t the first paid content form Facebook. Social Networking Giant recently launched a video subscription option as well. TechCrunch reports that for initial trial Facebook won’t be taking a cut of the revenue.
